Lake Argyle & COVID-19 information as at 1st July 2020

Due to staff shortages some services may not available everyday or at all times as advertised. Please contact us prior to your arrival to ensure the services & activities you wish to do are available during your stay.

  • WE ARE OPEN 7.30 am until 7.00 pm (Western Australian standard time) every day.
  • OPEN – 1, 2 & 4 Bedroom Lake View Villas and 1 & 2 Bedroom Kimberley Cabins are now available.
  • OPEN – Camping & Caravan Park sites now available.
  • OPEN – Our beautiful Infinity Pool is now open to all guests.
  • OPEN – Day Guests are now welcome also – PLEASE NOTE: it is essential that all Day Guests check in at reception on arrival before entering the property. All persons on the property must be on our guest register and wrist banded for confirmation of registration to ensure COVID-19 regulations are satisfied.
  • OPEN – Our restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner most days. Due to staff shortages some services are not available everyday or at all times. Please contact us prior to your arrival to ensure the kitchen will be open during your stay.
  • OPEN – Our Sunset Explorer Cruise aboard the Kimberley Durack is now running regular departures. Click on the cruise bookings tab to check updated cruise availability. Keep up to date with our low season specials.
  • OPEN – Call our team to reserve BBQ pontoon boats, hire dinghy, kayaks, stand up paddle boards and/or canoes.
  • Any guests seen not following the current social distancing regulations will be asked to leave the property immediately and notification of this breach of regulation will be handed to the relevant authorities prior to your departure.
  • Refunds will not be available to those not adhering to the above requirements.

What to do about your 2020 reservation at Lake Argyle

In light of the current COVID 19 Pandemic, we are asking for your support so that we can ensure our business and our region will be here to enjoy in the future.

As it may now be that you will be unable to travel to the Kimberley, we would love for you to defer your booking with us rather than cancelling altogether. Holding your fees as a credit voucher for you to use at you leisure until March 31st 2022. This will have an enormous positive impact on sustaining our business as we move through some very difficult times. We understand that this may not be a viable option for everyone and will of course be offering a refund to those that prefer. If you are also not sure which might be the option you will choose, we are happy to cancel your reservation and hold it until you can confirm deferment or full cancellation in the future be it tomorrow or any time prior to your original reservation arrival date. The cancellation will be considered based on the day you first call us to advise you are not able to travel to Lake Argyle.

Our Current refund policy has also been amended due to the enormity of this situation. The circumstances surrounding the imposed travel restrictions are unprecedented and as such will play a major role in the future of the tourism industry.

As of Saturday 21st March 2020 we are halving the regular fee for guests cancelling bookings within 28 days of their intended stay from 50% to 25% of the total amount paid. Bookings more than 28 days from the date of cancellation will incur a standard $20 administration fee only. Deferment of a booking (i.e. Credit Voucher) will incur no fees or penalties and the full value of the paid booking will be valid for 2 years.

We appreciate your patience in our processing of credit vouchers and refunds. To ensure all transactions are secure and processed to the correct party, this is done manually by our dedicated team. As you may imagine, we have been inundated with a large volume of requests which will inevitably cause a longer than usual wait time.
